Today My Soul is Steely Gray, My Shadow Refracts The Light

I do not mourn for her. She has been extricated from this place. I mourn for me because my feet remain planted here.
Here where clay and tears mix but do not make.
She told me I had her hands, fingers long and tapered.
Today, no matter how far I stretch, our dimensions are inseparably spaced.
Her breath has ceased. Her mind set free.
She is beyond the bonds of what I can conceive.
Yet she is in the place where she was before, the place inside of me.
