Waiting For Love

It's Valentine's Day. Cupid and hearts and chocolate fill the air. I'm thinking about the ones I love and the one waiting for love.

Mr. Scientist is back in China.

And he's still waiting for a family

WACAP, another adoption agency, has an really interesting article about the phrase "hard to place children." The article said that the phrase "hard to place" is a bit of a misnomer: Of the 206 children adopted through WACAP in 2015, 92% of those kids had an individual need. That means that only 8% of the children adopted had no needs. (Keep in mind that children over the age of 5 are considered "harder to place.")

Mr. S is 9 years old, he's a boy (families frequently prefer girls), and he has a medical need. From a purely categorical standpoint those factors make him "harder to place."

But, harder to place does not mean harder to love.

All it means, is that he, like every child, is waiting for his just right family.

Might that family be you?

Please email me at or for more information about Mr. S.
